Chopper rides to Mumbai soon
US company makes debut
Making its foray into India, US app-based company Blade, plans to expand its market by offering helicopter services between Mumbai, Pune and Shirdi. The services are expected to commence from March 2019.
While the prices for the chopper rides have not been disclosed, people aware of the development believe that the rides might not be affordable for a commoner and is targeted to attract businessmen who will choose to spend a tidy sum to save up on time.
To start off, the company is planning to set up chopper hubs in Mumbai’s plush areas of Juhu and Mahalaxmi and somewhere in the outskirts of Pune. The ride between Mumbai and Pune will approximately take 39 minutes as compared to the average three and a half hour to four hour journey by road or rail.
