Bangalore is known for its weather, its pubs, its garden and of course, for its infamous traffic jams and the airport (which seems to be in another city). But come February 2021, you can fly across from Kempegowda International Airport to Electronic City all thanks to BLADE India.
The company has approached the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) to use their heli-pad but other landing facilities and required infrastructure will be built outside KIA and Electronic City. Considering Bengaluru’s potential, the company plans to replicate BLADE USA’s heli-link between New York City and the airport model. In a quote to Deccan Herald, the MD, BLADE India said, “Looking at Bengaluru’s big potential for growth in this sector, we will initially start with one or two helicopters and increase the fleet as the demand increases.” Read More
